What unbridled joy. As my fingers dance across the keys, beneath the desk brews a fire of passion and enthusiasm in my genital department. Not since I first saw Olga Kurylenko in ‘Hitman’ have I felt such a sensation of simultaneous lust and glee.
It can’t possibly have escaped any Arsenal fan’s attention that the deal bringing Alexis Sanchez to The Emirates from Barcelona has been confirmed by the jarringly beautiful site of the Chilean forward featured on the official website. We can wave goodbye to the speculation. We have our clarity.
It is a huge signal of intent from the Club and, best of all, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be the last business we conduct during the coming weeks. Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle appears to be not too far behind and there is now realistic talk Arsene is looking to loan Atletico Madrid’s promising right-back, Javier Manquillo – a player, I must admit, I know little or nothing about, but I’ll assume he’s exceptionally gifted primarily because I’m in such a good mood at the moment.
To summarise what will be a short entry today; we’ve got our paws on a genuinely top-class player and there’s every reason to be excited. Others appear to be following. Having endured some truly horrific summers over the past years, a corner has been turned and Arsenal can flex their financial muscle and compete with the best. Perhaps most importantly of all, these are financial muscles gained not with the steroids of a foreign investor, but buy doing things in the correct manner.
The coming few weeks could be very interesting indeed.
All that remains is for me to point you towards the comments section – a place where you can share all your thoughts on our newest member of the Arsenal family. I’m sure you’re all as bloody delighted as I am.
Tomorrow I’ll be back with more. Keep your eyes out for the latest Goonersphere Podcast which should be out at some point today – it’s a good one this week.
As always; thanks for reading, you beautiful bastards.
