Arsenal to sign Yann M’Vila.

Yann was about to regret kicking the stone sphere painted as a football…

Morning folks.

According to a very reliable source on Twitter (contradiction in terms, ordinarily), Arsenal have moved swiftly to strike an accord with Rennes to sign Yann M’Vila. It was rumoured that a deal could have been put in place as early as last summer when the two clubs initially entered discussions. Arsenal’s bid was rejected then, but it would appear that things have gone in our favour this time around.

For a fee alleged to be in the region of 22m Euros + add-ons, Yann M’Vila will be unveiled as a Gooner once the season is over and before the European Championships.

Another user, a French football journalist based in London tweeted the following this morning:

As the regular readers amongst you will know; I’m usually massively sceptical about these things, and I don’t really believe anything I see/hear until there is some form of concrete evidence posted on the official site of the two clubs involved. Twitter is the kind of place that’s awash with speculative drivel and unsubstantiated, attention seeking ‘exclusives’. However, the user who broke the news comes with plenty of folks assuring me that he does indeed have insider information, and there could very well be a great deal of truth in this one.

I hope so. M’Vila is exactly the type of player we need. He may not have the razzmatazz of a name like Eden Hazard, or the fanfare that comes with a signing of that ilk, but he would be nothing short of an excellent addition. He’s the kind of Vieira/Makalele holding player that I’ve said many times we miss in midfield. There are one or two questions to be raised about his social agenda and temperament, but at 21 I see those as small creases somebody like Arsene Wenger would be ideally suited to iron out.

I hope that our early-bird transfer mentality is continuing, and we’ll have this one sown up as quickly as Podolski. Thanks for reading today, you beautiful bastards. The comments are below if you’d like to pop down some of your own views.

Well yann M’vila can be a great sign for the gooners if and if the news is true about such move, the signing of Yann means we now have a better holding midfielder apart from Song which means in a game of difficulty we can use our 3 three power horses at the midfield to defend much pressure WILSHERE, SONG and YANN whaooo that’s nice

If Arsenal can reach agreement with Rennes and Yann M’villa himself. That will be a nice addition and signning for Arsenal. Wenger should make sure that the deal is materialized i.e is slip off of his hands. GUNNERS 4 LIFE
