Yesterday, for the first time in quite some time, I indulged in a few libations. As I’m what you might call a ‘lightweight’, it took a mere 4-5 of the bizarre concoctions on offer – it was a beach party with cocktails – to render me a slurry moron capable of little or no sense. I’m also monstrously susceptible to hangovers, and I have a head that feels as if I’ve been repeatable struck with an iron bar.
I couldn’t face writing today, but it’s an obligation as well as a pass time. So here I am; at work, trying to combine making shortbread with jotting down something mildly informative. With a hangover. I think I’ll apologise in advance…
So, on to the Arsenal.
With the news of Djourou’s intent to secure first team football elsewhere, the club appear to be on the look-out for another centre-back. Lazio’s Romanian international, Stefan Radu is the latest name to do the rounds. His agent has made conflicting statements. One minute, his player is considering moving, the next he’s after a new contract and a long stay in Rome.
The transfer window is a fickle mistress. She says one thing, and invariably means another. She’s unreliable, unpredictable and prone to getting your hopes up, only to dash them with cruel regularity.
Other than that, news is sparse and in short supply. Most of the column inches feature Euro 2012 news – Fat Frank is out of the competition, and his replacement is England’s hope for the future… Jordan Henderson. Yeah… that about says it all…
I’ll leave you today, and get back to making biscuits as my colleagues are already beginning to question my work ethic. Thanks for reading, you beautiful bastards. Take a moment to comment and follow me on Twitter @_ArmchairGooner
