National poetry day; Dear Robin

Here’s my little contribution to National Poetry Day. It took me 5 minutes to write, and was done whilst I should have been tending to my work. Spare me the harshness of your judgements, if you would be so kind. I know it’s terrible, but that’s half the fun of it for me.

It’s inventively called, ‘Dear Robin’…

Dear Robin, it’s with a heavy heart that I write, as a man I once admired turns out to be a shite.
We cheered your name, and constantly wished you well, now we’d all sooner see you burning eternally in hell.
They’ll call us bitter, dejected and mean. We’ll call you a traitor, and things more obscene.
One day you’ll return, and I hate to be blunt; we’ll prepare a song for you, you ungrateful, money-grabbing, glass-legged….

Someone help me finish the last part. Words have failed me…

Feel free to contribute yourselves amongst the comments. I’m sure some of you wonderful people can trump my effort.

  1. We showed you support when you weren’t on the pitch,
Little did we know you were a money grabbing bitch.
If only we knew whenever you would finish with class
That soon you would have a Rooney or Alex up your ass.
Hard to believe as a child you rooted us on wearing the kit,
When now we must view you as a cowardly shit.

  2. You hate too much
Its waste full and sad, Benefits no one and just eats you up inside.
Love what you have not hate what you have not.
